Hong Kong International Airport

As part of the Hong Kong Airport services corporation automation strategy in the new Chek Lap Kok Airport. We have designed and installed a narrowband UHF two-way wireless data system for their ramp operation control throughout the airport's apron aircraft service area and the baggage-handling basement. A RF signal propagation study was performed at 450 MHz band in the airport with prediction of the RF coverage for the wireless data system. The result of the study assisted frequency planning as well as selection of antenna and radio sites.
