Airlines in Hong Kong Airport

We have designed & implemented a fully redundant multi-radio channel frequency system for an Airline Company in Chek Lap Kok Airport. The system has six radio sites each with two radio channels in the UHF band to provide full radio coverage with resilience measures in all the open areas of the airport and part of the indoor terminal building. The initial phase of the system is for service control to improve the customer service level of the aircraft passenger. A full scale radio propagation study, radio site design, antenna system design and frequency planning were performed in the new Chek Lap Kok Airport to ensure an optimum RF coverage was to be obtained for the mobile data terminals used in the airport.

A mobile check-in system utilizing the wireless LAN technology was installed in three check-in counters in the CLK Airport, the MTRC Airport Express Hong Kong and Kowloon stations to serve as an overflow terminal connections during extreme busy times.
